Giving FAQs

We recently changed our giving platform from Pushpay to Planning Center Online! With this exciting change may come some questions so please reference the FAQs below and contact the church office if you need any additional information.

Giving FAQs

This change will allow us to better integrate giving with the Church Center app that many of you already use for events, registrations, groups and kid’s check-ins.  Additionally, processing fees are less expensive.

If you currently have a recurring gift through Pushpay, yes. 

Recurring gifts cannot automatically transfer between platforms so you’ll need to create a new recurring gift in Planning Center Giving. 

We’ll walk you through the process!


No. 

For security and privacy reasons, recurring donations cannot be migrated from Pushpay to another provider. 

If you currently have a recurring gift set up, you’ll need to: 

  • Create your recurring gift in Planning Center Giving. 

  • Once it’s confirmed, cancel your recurring gift in Pushpay.

If you leave your Pushpay recurring gift active after setting up your new Planning Center gift, you may end up giving twice. 

We recommend canceling your Pushpay recurring gift as soon as your new recurring gift has been established.


Yes. Your previous giving records have been transferred from Pushpay to the new platform for your personal viewing. 

No. For your security, payment information is encrypted and cannot be transferred between giving providers. You’ll simply enter your payment information once when setting up your new account.

Yes! Our new giving platform accepts credit cards, debit cards, and bank accounts.

Bank account (ACH) donations typically have significantly lower processing fees than credit or debit cards, allowing more of your gift to go directly towards ministry. While you’re welcome to use whichever method you prefer, ACH giving helps reduce ministry expenses.

Absolutely. Your giving will be securely recorded just as before, and you’ll receive your annual contribution statement.

Yes. Planning Center Giving uses industry-standard encryption and secure payment processing to protect your personal and financial information.

Yes! You can continue to give using non-digital formats by placing any gifts in the giving boxes in the back of the main sanctuary.

Not necessarily. You can give as a guest, but creating an account makes it easy to: 

  • View your giving history

  • Manage recurring gifts

  • Update payment methods

  • Download giving statements

Absolutely. You can change: 

  • Amount

  • Frequency

  • Payment method

  • Fund designation

  • Next gift date
